  HEALTHCARE COMMON PROCEDURE CODING SYSTEM  (HCPCS) HCPCS codes are used to report supplies, equipment, and devices provided to patients.   HCPCS includes three separate levels of codes: Level I codes consist of  the AMA's CPT codes  and is numeric.
